Digital Desk: A bomb blast near a pond in Pandua, West Bengal's Hooghly district, has resulted in the death of a teenage boy and left two others injured. The incident, which occurred near the pond, has sent shockwaves through the local community.


The teenage victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, tragically succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital in Pandua. The two injured individuals were promptly transported to a medical facility in Chinsurah for urgent medical attention.


Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the explosion, aiming to uncover the cause and those responsible for this heinous act. The local law enforcement agencies are working diligently to gather evidence and bring the perpetrators to justice.


In response to the incident, Locket Chatterjee, the BJP MP representing the area, has raised concerns about the possible involvement of the TMC in the bombing. Chatterjee has suggested that the incident may be part of a larger strategy aimed at instilling fear ahead of a campaign by senior TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee in Pandua.


Abhishek Banerjee is in the position of TMC national general secretary, considered second-in-command within the party, and is scheduled to address a public gathering later in the day.
