Digital Desk: In a united press conference, the Congress, AJP, and Raijor Dol forming the Birodhi Oikya Manch, accused BJP MLA Chakradhar Gogoi from the Maran constituency in Assam of actively working against the candidacy of Sarbananda Sonowal for the Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency.
According to Birodhi Oikya Manch president Biju Duvara, Chakradhar Gogoi's actions derive from fears of losing his candidacy in the newly formed Khowang constituency if Sonowal secures victory. The opposition alleges that Gogoi has been orchestrating efforts to sabotage Sonowal's campaign, thus undermining the electoral process.
Responding to Gogoi's claims about the locked Congress office in Maran, Duvara refuted the allegations, asserting that the opposition's campaign has been strategically coordinated from the headquarters at the Khowang block and said that this indicates that Gogoi's statements are intended to divert attention from his alleged efforts to undermine Sonowal's candidacy.

Aligned with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s recent orders, all MLAs in Assam are physically campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections to gain a good vote turnout for the party.
BJP’s Sarbananda Sonowal and AJP or opposition front’s Lurinjyoti Gogoi are fighting for the Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency for the upcoming election. A reply from the BJP has yet to come in this regard.
