Pabitra Margherita has been named as CM Himanta Biswa Sarma's new political secretary in Assam

Prag Digital: Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, has a new political secretary: a member of parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Jayanta Mallabaruah, who was in charge of the position, was succeeded by Pabitra Margherita. He currently serves as an MP in the Rajya Sabha and received 46 votes to win the election on March 31.

Margherita has been the Assam BJP's spokesperson since 2014; he previously held the positions of Zila Prabhari of the Kamrup (North) District BJP and Prabhari of the Social Media Cell.
