Several locations struck in Pak Occupied  Kashmir, including Kotli and Muzaffarabad, as well as multiple sites within Pakistan’s sovereign territory such as Sialkot, Shakargarh

Digital Desk: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has claimed that the  Neelum Jhelum hydropower project was damaged in a phase of Indian missile and air, and drone attacks that targeted the infrastructure of the country on the night of 6th  and 7th  of May in 2025.

The attack on the hydropower project has triggered alarm in Islamabad, particularly in the context of India’s recent suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty and inflammatory rhetoric about restricting water flows to Pakistan.
Neelum Jhelum Hydro Electric Project, considered to be a vital  power plant for Pakistan, in the AJK areas, was among several locations struck in Pok,  including Kotli and Muzaffarabad, as well as multiple sites within Pakistan’s sovereign territory, such as Sialkot, Shakargarh, Muridke, and Bahawalpur.

Pakistan claimed that this action not only violated international conventions but also exacerbated concerns following India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty.

Pakistan, expressing concern over the attack on such a sensitive installation, stated that the action may prove disastrous for the stability of the region and clarified that India is seeking to provoke tensions under false pretexts.
