Islamabad: In a tragic accident, a Pakistani Army chopper crashed in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), killing two pilots near the Siachen area on Monday.

An official statement stated that two pilots identified as Maj. Irfan Bercha and Maj. Raja Zeeshan Jahanzed went down on the Siachen glacier, the world’s longest mountain glacier in the Karakoram Range; since then, they have been missing.

Search team and rescue helicopter have been sent to Siachen; however, no trace of the deceased pilots have been found added the statement.

Earlier, an aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force crashed near Attock in Punjab when it was going for a routine training mission. However, the pilot had succeeded in ejecting from the jet.
