Joshimath district officials, as well as senior Uttarakhand officials, will participate in the review conference through video conferencing.

Digital Desk: The Prime Minister's Office will host a high-level discussion on the Joshimath situation on Sunday afternoon, amid widespread concern in the Uttarakhand region owing to soil sinking and breaches in dwellings.

According to an official release, P K Mishra, the prime minister's principal secretary, would hold the review meeting with the cabinet secretary, other senior central government officials, and members of the National Disaster Management Authority.

Joshimath district officials, as well as senior Uttarakhand officials, will participate in the review conference through video conferencing.

Uttrakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had visited Joshimath on Saturday to a day after ordering the immediate evacuation of approximately 600 impacted households, he will review the situation on the ground.

Joshimath, according to Dhami, is a vital cultural, religious, and tourist destination, and all efforts would be taken to preserve it.

Joshimath, the entrance to prominent pilgrimage sites like as Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib, as well as the worldwide skiing resort Auli, is facing a huge issue as a result of ground subsidence.
