Digital Desk: In a significant operation along the Assam-Nagaland border, Bokajan subdivision police seized a substantial quantity of suspected drugs during a late-night inspection on February 24.


The operation, conducted on NH-39 as part of routine checks by the Khatkhati Police, led to the discovery of 5 kg and 815 grams of suspected drugs concealed within a trailer truck.


The vehicle, bearing registration number PB 03 AT 3866, was travelling from Manipur towards Bokajan.


The drugs were meticulously hidden inside the truck's body box, wrapped in 11 plastic packets to avoid detection.


Police arrested two alleged smugglers from Punjab, identified as Lukhwinder Singh and Parminder Singh, in connection with the seizure.


Further investigation is currently underway.
