Police conducted a raid at Splits Villa Resort, Golai No-3.

Digital Desk: Today,  police officials from the Digboi Police Station raided Splits Villa Resort at Golai No-3 under the order of SDPO Margherita Dinesh Pratap Singh Rathore using specific intelligence about illegal gambling activities at approximately 3:30 PM.

During the search operation, the police officers found  four people who were engaged  in gambling. The accused were identified as:-

Nitul Gogoi (S/O Late Hiteswar Gogoi) of No-Pukhuri, Tinsukia
Suraj Gogoi (S/O Jiban Gogoi) of Bordumsa
Bhaskarjyoti Gogoi (S/O Late Chandra Kanta Gogoi) of Bapapung No-2
Rahul Gowala (S/O Late Sibu Gowala) of Bapapung No-2, Digboi

The police recovered ₹3,16,330 cash along  with 39 playing cards, six mobile phones, a vehicle (AS-23-X-0009) and its keys which were found outside the Splits Villa Resort. Police also seized a leather bag, an SBI ATM card belonging to Bhaskarjyoti Gogoi in addition to a small green cotton bag, and a CP Plus DVR along with this item.

The entire police operation was conducted in the presence of  local witnesses to maintain transparency. The police escorted the arrested people and brought the confiscated objects to Digboi Police Station for additional legal action.

The police implemented this rapid resolution to display their dedication for fighting illegal activities in the region. The authorities maintain an active investigation into unlawful gambling operations while promising to enforce stringent punishments against all gambling offenders.
