Digital Desk: Author Pradyumna Kumar Gogoi will be awarded the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2022 for his contribution to Assamese literature, the Sahitya Akademi announced on Wednesday (August 24).
Gogoi will be honoured for his literary work in the book 'Choki Aru Anyanya Galpa.'
He had previously received the Munin Barkotoki Literary Award 2021.
The Yuva Puraskar will also be given to Alangbar Muchahary for his literary contributions to the Bodo language in the book "Gang Fujanay Mase Dau (Short Stories)."
Meanwhile, Diganta Oja will receive the Bal Sahitya Puraskar for his work 'Dangor Manuhor Xadhu.'
It should be noted that the Sahitya Akademi Youth Award is presented annually by the central government of India to honour young people from all around the country who have excelled in the field of literature.
The Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar for Assamese literature was previously given to Assamese author Abhijit Bora.
