Digital Desk: On the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Hiroshima, Japan, this evening to attend the G7 Summit. In the morning, he left for a three-nation trip to Japan, Papua New Guinea, and Australia.
The current Presidency has been assigned many significant responsibilities by the G7 Summit. Nuclear disarmament, economic resilience and security, regional challenges, climate and energy, food, and health and development are among the major categories of the G7 Summit preferences. Other objectives, such as digitization and science and technology, will be highlighted over various Summit sessions.
Reportedly, India's participation in the Hiroshima Summit would be organised around three formal sessions. Two sessions will be held tomorrow, and the third will be placed on May 21st. The first session will cover topics such as food, health, development, and gender equality. Climate, energy, and the environment are the topics of the second session. The third session's theme is "Towards a more peaceful, stable, and prosperous world."

Prime Minister Modi will hold bilateral conversations with many G7 leaders on the sidelines of the G7 Summit. Japan has also invited Australia, Brazil, the Comoros, the Cook Islands, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam, and several international organisations, including the United Nations.
In addition, Prime Minister Modi will meet with his Japanese counterpart and unveil a statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Hiroshima. A QUAD leaders meeting involving leaders from all QUAD states is scheduled for Hiroshima.
According to reports, India's recurrent participation in G7 Summit demonstrates an increasing awareness that India should be a part of any genuine attempt to resolve global concerns such as peace, security, development, and environmental preservation.
