Pegu stated that the state administration has already ordered an investigation into the terrible traffic accident in which seven AEC students died.

Digital Desk: On Wednesday, three days after the unfortunate tragedy, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu paid a visit to Assam Engineering College (AEC) and conducted a crucial meeting with college officials.

Pegu stated that the state administration has already ordered an investigation into the terrible traffic accident in which seven AEC students died.

He further stated that the probe will encompass all of the state's engineering colleges and has instructed the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam (DTE) to produce a preliminary report today and a final report within 15 days.

Ranoj Pegu posted on Twitter, "Visited Assam Engg College and discussed with the Principal and Hostel Wardens about the tragic accident in which 7 AEC students died." The government has already launched an investigation. The investigation will also include all of the state's engineering colleges. The DTE will submit a preliminary assessment today, followed by a final report in 15 days."

Previously, AEC officials established a new set of guidelines for hostel boarders, including authorising the police administration to pick up any boarder of Hostels located off the campus after the time limit and without authorization for justifiable reasons.
