Digital Desk: Prominent Fashion designer of Assam Sanjukta Dutta has been selected for the New York Fashion Show 2022, which is to be held from February 11 to February 16. Her enormous contributions to the fields of fashion and design while respecting Assam's traditional cultures have been appreciated on a global scale. Bipasha Basu, Priety Zinta, Zarine Khan, and Priyanka Chopra have all worn Sanjukta Dutta's creations. She was also instrumental in fabricating a costume for the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, during her visit to Kaziranga in 2015. Fashion Designer Sanjukta Dutta began with a seed capital of Rs 15 lakh and only three looms. Sanjukta's Studio, on the other hand, now boasts over 100 looms. The following year, she opened a commercial boutique where customers could purchase clothing and accessories. The designer creates commercially feasible traditional designs that highlight women of all body kinds and ages' feminine power and elegance. With her well-crafted haute couture label, she is passionate about instilling an appreciation for traditional origins in everyone. Each ensemble is part of a 45-day process that begins with the collection of silk produced only in one Assamese village and ends with the handcrafting of classic designs on exuberant Assamese silk, resulting in a masterpiece drape.
