Digital Desk: The Rangia police conducted a crime scene recreation involving Rahul Kumar Singh, a railway employee accused of murdering his wife. Acting on his confession, authorities recovered the murder weapon used in the crime.
The incident occurred on July 3 in Murara, Rangia, where Rahul Kumar Singh allegedly killed his wife by slitting her throat with a vegetable-cutting knife.
Following the crime, he escaped arrest for 15 days before being arrested by Rangia police last Friday at Ganeshguri.
During the investigation, police first recovered a blood-stained T-shirt from Dharampur, which Singh had worn during the murder.
Subsequently, they proceeded to a pond where he had disposed of the weapon. With the help of divers, the knife was successfully retrieved.
In the presence of a magistrate, police visited the rented house in Murara, Rangia, where Singh demonstrated the sequence of events leading to his wife's death.
Authorities revealed that the murder stemmed from a family dispute, which escalated into a tragic conflict.
The police have confirmed that a charge sheet against Rahul Singh will be filed soon.
