Digital Desk: The people of Assam across the state and the city are eagerly awaiting rainfall, and there is now some relief in sight. The Regional Meteorological Centre at Borjhar has issued a fresh weather forecast predicting light rain in parts of the Northeast over the coming days.


According to the Regional Meteorological Centre Borjhar, light rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places across Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh over the next five days.


Meanwhile, in the next 24 hours, certain areas of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland may experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, meteorologists said.


The forecast has raised hopes of much-needed relief from the prevailing weather conditions, while authorities have advised people to remain cautious during thunderstorms and lightning activity.
