Digital Desk: A tragic incident occurred in Bahalpur, Chapar, as a schoolgirl lost her life in a collision with a speeding passenger bus.


On February 20, while returning home from school, 7th-grade student Himakshi Roy was critically injured on National Highway 17 near Totpara in Bahalpur, under the jurisdiction of Chapar Police Staton.


The collision caused severe head injuries, prompting her family to rush her to a private hospital in Bongaigaon for urgent treatment.


Despite medical efforts, she tragically succumbed to her injuries on Monday night.


Himakshi, a student at ST Francis De Sales Higher Secondary School in Bahalpur, was the only daughter of Tilak Chandra Roy, a 108 ambulance driver, and Anjita Roy, residents of Totpara.


Her untimely death has left the entire community in mourning, casting a profound shadow of grief over the region.
