Digital Desk: Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot tested positive for covid-19 for the second time on Thursday, the minister informed.
The chief minister tweeted, “This evening I got myself tested for Covid and was found positive. My symptoms are very light and there is no other problem. All those who came into contact with me today, I request them to isolate themselves and undergo Covid-test.”
His son Vaibhav Gehlot was recently tested positive for Covid.
Earlier, in another tweet, the chief minister tweeted, “It is an assumption among the public that the Omicron variant of corona is not that threatening, which is why people are being irresponsible.
Experts believe that post-recovery complications from Omicron can be as serious as with other variants of Covid-19.”
On Monday, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal tests positive for covid-19 with mild symptoms.
Announcing it, Kejriwal tweeted, “I have tested positive for Covid. Mild symptoms. Have isolated myself at home. Those who came in touch with me in last few days, kindly isolate yourself and get yourself tested.”
Moreover, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Babul Supriyo and BJP Lok Sabha MP Manoj Tiwari tested positive for covid-19 on Tuesday.
