Digital Desk: Minutes after the House convened for the day on Wednesday, the Rajya Sabha's proceedings were postponed until 2 p.m. as opposition Members chanted for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) investigation into fraud charges against the Adani Group.

Leader of the opposition Mallikarjun Kharge took the floor as the House convened for the day to address a few points. Several opposition party lawmakers backed him.

Stocks of the Gautam Adani-led company saw a decline on the exchanges when activist short-seller Hindenburg Research, located in the US, presented a long list of accusations against it in a report published in January, including charges of share price manipulation and fraudulent transactions.
