Digital Desk: Ram Charan and his wife, Upasana Konidela, were blessed with their first child, a girl, on Tuesday (June 20, 2023). The announcement was made through a hospital bulletin, which read, "Miss Upasana Kamineni and Ram Charan Konidela had a baby girl on 20th June 2023, at Apollo Hospital Jubilee Hills Hyderabad. The baby and mother are doing well." In December, the couple announced that they were expecting a child. Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan's father, visited the couple in the early hours of Tuesday to welcome his granddaughter to the family.
Last week, Upasana took to Instagram and shared an image from Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Along with the picture she wrote, "Something very special coming soon." Upasana's family recently organized a baby shower for her, and she shared the pictures on her Instagram handle. She captioned the picture, "Soooo grateful for all the love."
After ten years of marriage, Upasana and Ram Charan have had their first child. Upasana recently spoke up about her late pregnancy in an interview with Humans of Bombay. "I am very, very excited and also very proud that I chose to become a mother when we wanted to, not when society wanted us to. So, ten years after our marriage, we decided to have a child now, and I believe it is the perfect moment because both of us are thriving, both of us are financially stable, and we can care for our children on our own."
"It was our mutual decision. As a couple, we refused to buckle under pressure from the outside world, our family, or strangers. Which speaks a lot about our relationship and how we plan to raise our child," she added.
On the work front, Ram Charan was most recently seen in SS Rajamouli's RRR. The actor is now gearing up to make his Hollywood debut.
