Digital Desk: On this historic day, January 18, 2024, Ayodhya witnesses a momentous occasion as the idol of Ram Lalla takes its place in the sanctum sanctorum of the newly constructed Ram Mandir.

This event is a poignant milestone in the temple's history, reflecting years of anticipation and devotion within the Hindu community.

The idol's journey into the sanctum sanctorum commenced in the early hours of Thursday. A sacred puja within the sanctum, accompanied by resonant chants of 'Jai Shri Ram,' set the spiritual tone for this significant installation. Nripendra Mishra, the chairperson of the Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee, has indicated that the idol is slated for installation on Thursday, with the actual placement scheduled for 12:45 pm.

The idol's arrival at the temple was orchestrated through a meticulously planned journey on a truck. The run-up to the consecration ceremony on January 22 includes a seven-day series of rituals, with a 'Kalash Pujan' held on the preceding Wednesday.

The upcoming 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, marking the consecration of the idol, is eagerly anticipated on January 22, with Prime Minister Modi expected to grace the occasion.

The temple trust has extended invitations to over 7,000 dignitaries from diverse fields, ensuring a grand and inclusive celebration that reflects the significance of this cultural and religious landmark.
