Digital Desk: The Patanjali group's Divya Pharmacy, a pharmacy run by yoga guru Baba Ramdev, charged on Thursday that a "anti-Ayurveda drug mafia" was behind allegations that the Uttarakhand government had outlawed the production of five of its medications due to deceptive advertising.

The role of the anti-Ayurveda drug mafia is obvious, the company claimed, adding that it had not received a copy of the order mentioned in the reports in prominent publications.

According to a statement from the company, "Patanjali makes all products and medications in accordance with prescribed standards, fulfilling all legal requirements and meeting all international standards with the highest research and quality in the Ayurvedic tradition, with the assistance of more than 500 scientists."

According to the company, "Either the department should correct its error and take appropriate action against the person who is involved in this conspiracy, or else the organisation will take legal action to punish the persons responsible for this conspiracy along with the compensation for the institutional loss caused to Patanjali."

The company Divya Pharmacy was ordered to stop producing the ayurvedic health products Madhugrit, Eyegrit, Thyrogrit, BPgrit, and Lipidom by the Ayurveda and Unani Licensing Authority in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

Dr. GCS. Jangpangi, licence officer for Uttarakhand Ayurvedic and Unani Services, issued the order and accused Patanjali of using deceptive advertising.
