A resident of Guwahati, Rhea Mahanta, has been conferred with,’ the coveted Youth Carnegie Peace Prize for 2021’. Daughter of Saurav Mahanta and Dr. Neelakshi Mahanta, Rhea has bagged the award for her Peace Building Project.
The ceremony was hosted by The International Court of Justice, Peace Palace, ‘The Hague’ - the royal capital in the Netherlands.

The Carnegie Youth recognizes the work of young peacemakers in post-conflict circumstances, with the purpose of inspiring and motivating others to start their own initiatives.
Rhea Mahanta will serve as a Carnegie Foundation – Peace Palace Youth Ambassador for the following two years.
