Digital Desk: A right-wing group, Hindu Janajagruti, filed a complaint against Vir Das's comedy show in Bengaluru's Malleshwaram. 

The group filed the lawsuit in order to cancel the controversial stand-up comedian's November 10 event at Chowdiah Memorial Hall in Malleshwar.

The group claimed in the complaint that the comedian's presentation offends Hindu religious feelings and portrays India negatively.




Comedian Vir Das sparked outrage on social media after delivering a monologue as part of his performance in the United States, with many accusing him of "insulting India."

Vir Das uploaded a video on YouTube titled "I come from two Indias". The monologue in the video was part of his performance at the John F Kennedy Centre in Washington DC.
