Guwahati: Congress leader Ripun Bora urges Prime Minister Narendra Modi to conduct an enquiry about the nationality of Minister of State for Home Affairs Nisith Pramanik.

In his letter to PM Modi Bora claimed that the reports in news channels proved that Pramanik is a Bangladeshi national.

“I am writing this letter to bring to your notice a very sensitive matter regarding the citizenship and birthplace of Nisith Pramanik, the recently appointed Union Minister of State, Home Affairs. As per the reports published in news channels namely Barak Bangla, Republic TV Tripura and digital news namely India Today and Business Standard. Nisith Pramanik is a Bangladeshi national.”

Bora also claimed that Pramanik’s birthplace is Harinathpur, under Palasbari, District Gaibandha of Bangladesh.

Further, bora stressing about his career Bora claimed Pramanik came to West Bengal for computer study and after taking a computer degree he first joined in Trinamool Congress and later joined BJP and was elected as MP from Cooch Behar.

Moreover, Bora putting an allegation over Pramanik said He showed his address as Cooch Behar in election papers by manipulation.

In his letter, Bora also wrote, “The channel highlighted the jubilant scenario, including a statement of his elder brother and some villagers of his native village at Bangladesh expressing their satisfaction on being appointed Nisith Pramanik as Union Minister of State, MHA.”
