Digital Desk: Burglars broke into a house in Alugudam,
Athgaon, Guwahati, and fled with jewellery and cash worth lakhs of rupees,
according to the victims.
The burglary occurred at
Sariful Islam's residence. According to reports, gold jewellery and cash worth
thousands of rupees were stolen. Sariful's wife and daughter, who were present
at the residence, were robbed while sleeping.

While speaking to the
media, Sariful's wife stated that she was not feeling well when she woke up to
find that the robbers had looted the gold ornaments and cash from the almirah
and that everything was dispersed, as well as her cell phone.
The victim further claimed
that there is no police patrolling at night and that robberies have escalated
in the region.
