Governor Yaroslav Yanushevych wrote on the Telegram messaging app that Russian troops had bombarded the city of Kherson...

Digital Desk: Three people were killed and seven were injured in Russian shelling of the southern Ukrainian province of Kherson over the past 24 hours, the regional governor said on Friday.

Governor Yaroslav Yanushevych stated on the Telegram messaging app that the Russian military attacked Kherson and other sections of the province 42 times during the same period.

After months of Russian control, Ukrainian forces liberated Kherson in mid-November, but Russian troops who retreated to the other side of the Dnipro River have been firing on the city ever since.

The city has also experienced power failures. Yanushevych claimed on Thursday that electricity had been lost once more following recent restoration.
