Digital Desk: Superstar Salman Khan finally broke his silence over the shocking snake bite incident. Khan, on his birthday-eve, spoke about how a snake bit him at his Panvel Farmhouse.

Salman Khan informed the media, "A snake had entered my panvel farmhouse. I took it outside using a stick. Gradually it reached onto my hand. I then grabbed it to release, which is when it bit me thrice. It was a kind of poisonous snake. I was hospitalized for 6 hours…I am fine now."

On December 25, Khan met with an unfortunate event. Khan was taken to a hospital in Navi Mumbai after the incident. He was discharged on Sunday morning.

The tragic event occurred just one day ahead of his 56th birthday. Previously, Dr. Kuldeep Salgotra, who treated the actor, said, "Two teams of doctors are with Salman Khan and his health is fine."

On Sunday night, a picture of Salman Khan from the hospital went viral on social media. Well-known photographer Varinder Chawla shared the photo where Salman can be seen getting treatment.

Along with Salman's picture, the post read, "Picture of @beingsalmankhan from the hospital." Soon the picture got posted over social media platforms; fans showered love and concern for the actor.

Salman Khan's father, Salim Khan, confirmed to netizens that the actor is doing well. Salim Khan stated, "Salman is doing good. There is nothing to worry about. It happened early morning but he is fine now. It was a non-poisonous snake and it is obvious to find these creatures in forest areas. The doctor has prescribed a few medicines but otherwise he is completely fine."

Salman's father moreover said, "We were surely tense when it occurred. Salman was rushed to the nearest medical centre to get an injection that is required in such cases. Thankfully it turned out that the snake was not poisonous. Well, he returned to the farmhouse and went to sleep for a few hours. As we speak, he is fine. There's nothing to worry but yes, there was a scare."
