In a significant development of the case, a few days ago Mumbai Traffic Pollice received a threatening death threat message for Salman Khan, demanding a sum worth Rs. 5 crore in Lawrence Bishnoi's name to put an end to the conflict. The Mumbai police also received a message from the same apologizing for the text but they took it seriously amidst the Bishnoi-Khan enmity.
On investigating the situation and tracing the number it led to a person named Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin, a 24 year old who sells vegetables in Jamshedpur, and was taken into custody right away. The arrest took place after receiving the apology message.
