Guwahati: On Monday, Samir Sinha, Principal Secretary of Health & Family Welfare Department is designated as the principal secretary to the newly elected Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma.
Sinha is an IAS Officer, working in the Finance & Health Deptts of Govt of Assam. He has replaced the firmer principal secretary Paban Borthakur.

Paban Borthakur, on the other hand, is appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Department.
Samir Sinha will be working with Dr. Himanta Bisw Sharma as the principal secretary of the new CM of Assam.
