Guwahati: A school teacher who was teaching in Guwahati's Gopal Boro H.S. School, passed away today due to covid-19. The female teacher had contracted the contagion along with her husband and child and was undergoing treatment for the same.

The teacher posted as an Arts teacher at the school had contracted the contagion along with her family. Meanwhile the school authorities had conducted an exam today which created a furor among the parents.

It may be mentioned that there has been a sudden spike in the number of covid cases in Guwahati as well as in the state, forcing the administration to apply strict restrictions and curfews in designated areas due to covid surge.
