Guwahati: While considering the present situation of the pandemic and the probability of school education in the near future, Assam State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced on Friday that the state government is mulling plans to re-open schools for classes 9 to 12 from September 1 if the covid situation improves in the state.

The covid situation has been improving in the state but a final decision on the school re-opening will take place only after a discussion with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Health Minister Keshav Mahanta regarding the same. The Chief Minister and health minister said that the classes can be resumed if we see an improvement in the situation, said Ranoj Pegu.
