Digital Desk: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) offers fresh opportunities for young graduates. SEBI invites applications for its Young Professionals Program. The eligible candidates can apply for the various profiles like information technology (IT), research, law and securities market operations for its Mumbai office. The Young Professionals Program will be a 12-months programme. However, based on the prospect requirements, the term could be extended. The maximum duration for this program is three years. The application shall be available for 21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in newspapers. Therefore, graduates who want to apply for this professional program need to apply on or before January 25, 2022. On a good note, candidates who will be chosen for the professional program will receive a handsome stipend. The young graduates will get a monthly stipend of $60,000. Moreover, the department will provide accommodations for all those who are not based in Mumbai.   • Securities Market Operations, which include 16 posts-old. 
  • Young Professional (Law)- 10
  • Young Professional (Research)- 6
  • Young Professional (Information Technology)- 6
Eligibility criteria for the positions:
  • Securities Market Operations: Applicants should at least have one year of experience in the financial sector. Post-graduation in Management or completing three years of Chartered Accountant (CA)/Company Secretary (CS)/Certified Management Accountant (CMA)/Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from recognised university/institute.
  • Young Professional (Law): Candidates applying should hold at least one year of work experience in corporate/securities laws. Should hold a bachelor’s degree in law/Master of Law (LLM) from a recognized university/institution with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
  • Young Professional (Research): Preference will be given to students who have completed PhD work. Should have experience in financial markets, corporate finance, macroeconomic theory, corporate governance etc.
  • Young Professional (Information Technology): Applicants must have an IT background. At least one year of experience in software development (programming) or cyber security.
