Digital Desk: The incident of a madrasa teacher sexually assaulting a minor student at the Darul Uloom Shahi Madrasa in Matiphata, South Salmara, has created a huge uproar in the area. This is not the first time such a heinous act has occurred in the madrasa, as previously the head teacher of Ranga Ghar, Sahidur Islam, had also sexually assaulted a minor student.
The accused, Maulana Akhirul Islam, was apprehended by the enraged local people and handed over to the police. The student's father has filed a complaint at the Fakirganj police station, seeking justice.
This is not an isolated incident, as another shocking case was reported in Fakirganj, where the maulana of a different madrasa sexually assaulted a minor student. The agitated crowd handed over the accused maulana to the police and staged a protest in front of the madrasa.
The local community garlanded Maulana Akhirul Islam with shoes before handing him over to the police following the disclosure of the sexual assault of a minor student at a madrasa in the area.
These incidents have once again highlighted the urgent need to address the issue of sexual abuse in madrasas and ensure the safety and well-being of the students entrusted to these institutions.
