Guwahati: The City police is facing extreme finance shortage after a recent report suggested that the Guwahati Police owe an outstanding amount of Rs 11 crores to petrol depots after continuously filling up their vehicles with fuel without paying.
For the past two days, the Guwahati Police has been denied fuel at Paltan Bazar petrol pump for not paying their outstanding dues.
The police force has sighted acute finance shortage leading to this magnanimous amount outstanding to be paid to the petrol pumps.
