Guwahati: Renowned singer Vitali Das is in critical condition after testing positive for Covid-19. The singer who tested positive for the contagion three days ago, is now on ventilation.

The singer is currently admitted in Guwahati's Kalapahar Covid Hospital and is being constantly monitored by the doctors. On the other hand veteran Assamese actress Runu Devi who also tested positive for Covid-19 has been admitted in the ICU. Runu Devi's husband and daughter too have tested positive for the contagion.

The state of Assam has been battling an unprecedented rise in covid cases with 1651 fresh covid cases detected yesterday.
