Digital Desk: In a recent development by the SIT (Special Investigation Team) Nand Babu Singh involved in the APSC scam from Silchar was arrested.
Singh is currently being brought to the CID office for further probe.
Nand Babu Singh, the former APSC principal controller of examinations, was accused of raising the marks of many candidates.
Singh was reportedly not detained after burning APSC paperwork.
Furthermore, it is reported that Nanda Babu selected his daughter Minerva Devi Arambam as ACS using unethical ways.
Notably, Minerva, the Additional District Commissioner in Karimganj district, was summoned by the SIT on Saturday.
ADC Minerva is scheduled to appear for questioning at the CID office in Guwahati, Assam, on Monday.
Sukanya Das, Wahida Begum, Rakesh Das, Shahjahan Sarkar, Aishwarya Jeevan Baruah, and Nanda Babu Singh have all been arrested as part of the scam.
