Digital Desk: A person has tragically passed away, with his family claiming that the loud noise from a gas blowout was the cause of his death in Bhatiapar of Sivasagar.

A gas leakage at ONGC's Rig No. RDS 147 in the Bhatiapar-Bari Chuk area of Sivasagar has persisted for three consecutive days, with efforts to contain it proving unsuccessful so far.

The surrounding area has been overwhelmed by the strong odor of oil, raising significant concerns among residents.

ONGC has yet to provide a clear timeline for resolving the issue, issuing only a press statement that appears to shift responsibility.

In response to safety concerns, over 70 families have been relocated to temporary shelters.

However, these displaced residents have voiced their frustration over the inadequate facilities provided.

As the situation is getting worse, anger among the affected people has escalated, with residents declaring they will no longer tolerate the ongoing crisis.
