Digital Desk: A wave of sorrow spread upon the residence of Afrid Hussain in Jengonikotia, Sivasagar, as his mortal remains reached home late at night following a fatal accident on GS Road in Guwahati.
A large number of people gathered to pay their respects and grieve the untimely passing of the young man.
The tragic incident occurred on Thursday night near the Srinagar traffic point when Afrid's Yamaha R15 (AS-01 GK 8823) collided with a Toyota (AS-01MA 4554).
Following the horrific crash, Afrid was immediately rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him dead.
Another biker involved in the accident has been identified as Ashik Hussain, who also sustained injuries.
Afrid Hussain, who was only 20 years old, had recently appeared for his Higher Secondary final examinations.
He is survived by his parents and a younger sister.
