New Delhi: As many as 100 soldiers of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) entered into Indian territory in Uttarakhand’s Barahoti, sources said on Tuesday.
The source also quoted that the soldiers came on horses and stayed at the Indian territory for three hours. Further, it destroyed a bridge in the Barahoti area before retreating back to China.
However, there was no face-off between both armies as they left the Indian territory before the arrival of the Indian Army and ITBP personnel.

Amid reports, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “Government didn’t receive any information related to it.”
Moreover, a Times of India report has quoted their source as saying that the latest surveillance and intelligence reports show the PLA had constructed new modular-based accommodations for its soldiers in eight locations along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) opposite eastern Ladakh.
The border standoff between the Indian and Chinese armies flared up in May 2020 following a violent clash in the Pangong lake area, resulting in serious diplomat talks. Further, the two sides decided to withdraw their troops and weapons from the north and south banks of the Pangong lake.
