The two accused who have been charged in Phogat's death are Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Wasi...

Digital Desk: The Goa Police detained two aides of Haryana BJP politician Sonali Phogat on Thursday for their alleged participation in her murder, after a post-mortem revealed "many blunt force injuries" on her body.

Goa Police officers disclosed that there were no sharp-edged injuries found on Sonali Phogat's body.

The two accused who have been charged in Phogat's death are Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Wasi.

In his complaint submitted to the Anjuna police on Wednesday, Phogat's brother Rinku Dhaka named both of the accused. Reportedly, Sagwan and Wasi had accompanied Phogat when she arrived in Goa on August 22.

Phogat, who rose to fame on TikTok, was brought dead to St Anthony Hospital in Anjuna, North Goa, on August 23 morning. Doctors had initially suspected that she had died of a heart attack.

An autopsy was performed on her body on Thursday morning, and Anjuna police quickly added the charge of murder to the case and arrested Sagwan and Wasi.
