Digital Desk: At least 151 people were killed and 150 more were injured in South Korea's biggest disaster in years when a gathering of mostly young people celebrating Halloween festivities in Seoul turned into a trap and crushed.

The number of fatalities could increase, according to Choi Seong-beom, chief of Seoul's Yongsan fire department, while an unidentified number of the injured were in severe condition.'

On Sunday, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol declared a time of national mourning and ordered the lowering of flags in memory of a catastrophic stampede that occurred during Halloween festivities in Seoul and claimed at least 151 lives, including 19 foreigners, according to media sources.
