Squid Game 2 has unveiled new cast members in an Instagram post...

Digital Desk: The makers of the massive hit Korean series Squid Games recently announced that the show's second season will be released in 2024. Now, through an Instagram post on Thursday, the show introduced the newly-added cast members in the series. The makers of Squid Game introduced the new entrants to the cast of the popular show by sharing a number of images from the actors' table read.

Squid Game's official Instagram page shared a carousel photo of the cast members at the table read. The first post showed all of the existing cast members. "Absolutely ready to be swept away again by this returning cast. Here's Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, and Wi Ha-jun at the table reading for #SquidGame2," read the caption.

The second post announced the new members of the cast. "Peep some new faces at the table reading of Squid Game Season 2," read the caption. South Korean singer Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, rapper Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-uk, and singer Jo Yu-ri are among the new cast members.

Meanwhile, fans have expressed appreciation for the filmmakers and casting selections and seemed quite thrilled about the introduction of the new cast. However, the majority of them asked the producers to reveal the show's premiere date.

Squid Game is a South Korean survival drama series that premiered on Netflix in 2021. The series became a quick global sensation and was once the most-watched Netflix series in the world.

The series, created by Hwang Dong-Hyuk, centres around a covert game played by those in financial trouble. Participants are given the opportunity to win large sums of money if they win some deadly children's games.
