For the first time in his career, star Indian boxer and Olympic medalist Vijender Singh suffered his first defeat in his entire professional boxing career.

The boxing match was held at “Majestic Pride Casino Ship” in Mandovi River in Goa in an eight round duel nicknamed “Battle on Ship.” The match was held at the rooftop of the ship.

Vijender Sing lost to Russian boxer Artysh Lopsan due to a technical knockout (TKO) landed by Lopsan in the fifth round of an eight round match. The referee declared Lopsan as the winner after one minute and nine seconds in the fifth round after deeming Vijender unfit to fight any further.
