Following her nomination by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the Rajya Sabha, Swati Maliwal resigned from her position. Maliwal sobbed as she said goodbye to her officer. Online footage of a distraught Maliwal bidding farewell to her teammates also appeared.

AAP Puts Up Swati Maliwal for Rajya Sabha Nomination
Maliwal received a Rajya Sabha nomination on Friday from the AAP's Political Affairs Committee. January 19 is the scheduled date of the Delhi Rajya Sabha seat elections. On January 27, Delhi's three Rajya Sabha members, Sanjay Singh, Sushil Kumar Gupta, and Narain Dass Gupta, will retire.
The AAP also stated that Sushil Kumar Gupta wanted to shift his attention back to Haryana's election politics, even though it renominated Narain Dass Gupta and Sanjay Singh. He leads the AAP's Haryana chapter as its president. Later this year, elections are anticipated in the state.
Maliwal Gives Report on DCW's Work In Pasr 8 Years
Maliwal released a video earlier today that summarizes the eight years of work that the DCW has completed. "DCW has addressed over 1 lakh 70 thousand complaints during the last eight years. We have sent more than five hundred recommendations to the Delhi Police, the State government, and the Central government. Furthermore, we have helped over 60,000 survivors of sexual assault receive counseling, and our attorneys have personally supported them during 2 lakh court appearances," she added.
