Digital Desk: The International Cricket Council announced the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 schedule. On a trend note, India will start the campaign against Pakistan on October 23, 2022, at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. There will be 12 teams that will participate in the finals (Super12s) of the tournament. These teams have been categorized into two groups of six each. Group 1 comprises teams like Australia, New Zealand, Afghanistan and England, while two more teams from the qualifiers will also join them later. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and South Africa fell in Group 2. India will square off against Bangladesh on November 2 at the Adelaide Oval before facing Group B champions on November 6 at the MCG. Two other teams from the qualifiers will further join these four teams. Group 1: Australia, New Zealand, England, Afghanistan, A1, B2 Group 2: India, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, B1, A2 Also Read: PM Modi again tops in the list of most popular world leaders, check the list here The 8th edition of the international competition will start on October 16, 2022. It will be played across seven venues in Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The final match is to be played on November 13 at the MCG. The Indian team will be led by Rohit Sharma, who was designated as the captain last December.  "T20 is the international development design for cricket. The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 will further play an enormous role in encouraging our successive generation of players and fans as the world's best players to descend on Australia and showcase the very finest of our sport. The release of fixtures is always a significant point in the delivery of a World Cup as fans start to get enthusiastic regarding opening matches, also on head heads, and knockout phases," ICC CEO Geoff Allardice conveyed.
