Digital Desk: A 15-year-old girl accused of murdering her father and brother was apprehended in Haridwar, Uttarakhand on Wednesday. The horrific incident took place on March 15 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, where the girl, along with her 19-year-old boyfriend, allegedly killed her family members and dismembered their bodies, which were then hidden in a freezer.
The arrest was made after the girl had been on the run since the day of the murders. Haridwar Senior Superintendent of Police Pramendra Dobhal reported that she was taken into custody on Tuesday after being spotted in the town. During her interrogation, the girl disclosed that she had traveled to Haridwar with her boyfriend, who remains at large.
According to officials, the father objected to his daughter's relationship, leading to his murder. The brother was subsequently killed because he witnessed the crime. The police noted that the dismemberment and concealment of the bodies in the freezer were part of a plan devised by the boyfriend.
The girl has been transferred to the Madhya Pradesh Police for further investigation. Meanwhile, the search for her boyfriend continues as authorities intensify their efforts to apprehend him.
