MI defeated Delhi, allowing RCB to enter the knockout stage as the fourth and final team.

Digital Desk: MI Win RCB In! Royal Challengers Bangalore has finally entered the playoffs. However, all credit goes to Mumbai Indians (MI), as after their win only over the Delhi capitals (DC), the RCB makes it to the playoffs.

"Thank you, Mumbai, we will remember this one," said Virat Kohli after Royal Challengers Bangalore sneaked into the playoffs following Mumbai Indians' thrilling five-wicket win over Delhi Capitals in their last game of the IPL here.

On Saturday, MI eliminated Delhi from the competition after chasing down a victory target of 160 in 19.1 overs, paving the way for RCB's entry as the fourth and final team in the knockout stage.

"It was incredible and the emotions in the locker room were unbelievable”, Kohli said.
Earlier, RCB had defeated Gujarat Titans by eight wickets in their final league match to keep their playoff chances alive, which depended on the outcome of the DC-MI match.

Delhi needed to win to qualify for the playoffs, but bottom-placed MI defeated them.
Moreover, the RCB skipper Faf Du Plessis said the entire team watched the match together and was cheering every move made by the Mumbai team.

It may be mentioned that RCB will now take on third-placed Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator at Edens Gardens on May 25.
