Chennai: A seven-member scuba team held the national flag underwater along with the five rings of the Olympics, honouring the Indian Olympics medalists. Additionally, the team carried Javelin, Boxing gloves and Hockey sticks underwater.

In the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics, Indians won medals in weightlifting, badminton, Wrestling, Boxing, Javelin and Hockey.

To celebrate their historic achievement, the scuba team led by Aravind went 12 meters deep and paid honour by holding the national flag underwater at the Bay of Bengal, near the East Coast Road, Chennai.

India started their manoeuvre for Olympics medals with a silver medal from weightlifter Mirabai Chanu and ended with a historic gold medal when Neeraj Chopra won the Men’s Javelin gold on August 8.

While Ravi Kumar Dahiya (Wrestling) becomes the second to win a silver medal, Lovlina Borgohain (Boxing) earns bronze for India, Bajrang Punia (Wrestling) won’s bronze, and P.V.Sindhu showcased she is one of the best Olympians by winning her second medal, a bronze after a fine battle in Tokyo.

In the Tokyo Olympics, Men’s hockey team ended their 41 yearlong thirsts by winning a bronze for India.
