Digital Desk: In a major theft incident, goods worth approximately ₹40 lakh were stolen from Ma Kamakhya Electricals, a warehouse located in Kahilipara, Dispur. The burglary  occurred early on the morning of 8th August , about 2:08 AM.


According to reports, a gang of 6–8 thieves broke into the warehouse and fled with multiple cartons containing high-value electrical wires. The whole act was videotaped by CCTV which was to come in very handy in solving the case.


Acting swiftly on the footage, Dispur Police launched an investigation and successfully traced the stolen items to Boko within 24 hours. Two men Mofidul Ali and Ansar Ali alias Boga were arrested over the theft.


Additionally, police also seized  the truck which was used in transporting the stolen goods whose registration number was AS 01 SC 7817.


The gang reportedly loaded the materials into the truck during the night and escaped the scene. However,  as a result of timely and efficient police response all the stolen goods have been recovered and two suspects are currently behind bars.


Officials are still probing the case and are on the lookout for other members of the gang involved in the theft.
