Dharamshala: Giving a major push to the country’s vaccination drive, Himachal Pradesh becomes the first state to vaccinate the adult population against Covid-19 fully, an official report said.

The official report stated, “As many as 53,86,393 eligible adults across Himachal Pradesh were administered the second dose of covid-19 vaccine hence achieving the target of 100 per cent vaccination to the adult population in the state.”

Notably, Himachal Pradesh was also the first state to achieve 100 per cent first dose vaccination among the adult population by the end of August.

On Sunday, to honour the covid-19 workers of the state, a function was organized at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, BJP national president JP Nadda and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya attended the function.

Moreover, Union Minister Anurag Thakur and the state’s Health Minister Rajiv Saizal also attended the function.
