Four people, including a father, were killed in a road accident in Tinsukia on the day of their daughter's wedding.

Digital Desk: In a tragic incident in Dibrugarh. A car accident took the lives of 4 people and injured two others. According to the incident, a seven-year-old child and a family of four got off the Rajdhani Express from Katihara in Bihar at Banipur railway station in Dibrugarh early this morning. The family, who arrived in Dibrugarh from Bihar, waited at Banipur railway station. It was foggy at the time.

The victims were identified as Mohan Shah and Montu Shah, both of Bordubi in Tinsukia. Mohan Shah's daughter's wedding on November Mohan Shah's brother and his family came from Katihara in Bihar for the wedding. After about 45 minutes, Mohan Shah's car arrived at Banipur railway station from Tinsukia. Mohan Shah and Montu Shah took Rajesh Gupta's family from Bihar in their car and started their journey to their home in Bordubi.

The vehicle arrived at Govindpur in Panitola at 5 a.m. A bridge was under construction at Govindpur. The vehicle suddenly hit the bridge and fell into a deep ditch. The victims were identified as Montu Shah, 20, and Rajesh Shah, 20, of the same area.

There was no diversion sign before reaching the bridge under construction. The accident killed Mohan Shah, Rajesh Gupta, Montu Shah, and seven-year-old Artha Gupta. The victims were identified as 19-year-old Arun Kumar and 19-year-old Arun Kumar. Rajesh Gupta's wife and daughter were rescued and admitted to hospital. The accident killed two families instantly.
